Help Bath Thrive: Drive 25

Help Bath Thrive: Drive 25 is a safety campaign designed to encourage motorists to observe the residential speed limit as a way to protect and invest in their community. In Bath, the residential area speed limit is 25 mph. When drivers slow down:

  • Slower speeds in neighborhoods reduce the likelihood and severity of accidents, making streets safer for pedestrians and cyclists.
  • Lower speed limits decrease noise pollution, creating a more peaceful and livable environment for residents
  • Reduced driving speeds help to lower emissions, contributing to better air quality and a healthier community.

All of these things help our community to THRIVE:

The goal is for this campaign to become recognized by drivers in the community as a gentle reminder to slow down in a fast-paced world. Slowing down to 25 will allow future generations of Bath residents to experience Bath on two legs or two wheels.
